Nikki Acton
Executive Director – Global Liquidity Solutions
J.P. Morgan

Nikki Acton is an executive director at J.P. Morgan in Global Liquidity Solutions in New York. In this role, Nikki is responsible for driving J.P. Morgan’s growth in cross-border flow and to deliver new and enhanced Liquidity offerings across all execution channels to U.S and Canadian based clients.  Nikki joined the firm earlier this year from Bank of America where she was Head of International Electronic Sales.

Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Nikki worked at Morgan Stanley’s electronic sales trading desk in London, holding responsibility for U.S and London-based clients trading into EMEA. Prior to this position, Nikki worked at the global cross product sales trading desk at Goldman Sachs.

Nikki holds a BSc Economics Degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

 


Vlad Khandros

Vlad Khandros advises clients and internal groups on market structure issues and focuses extensively on UBS's electronic strategy, particularly on exchange and alternative venue analysis, as well as order routing decisions.  Vlad manages the global cross asset market structure team and the UBS ATS team which is currently the largest and most transparent bank ATS.  Vlad represents UBS in several advisory committees and industry groups including the IEX Quality of Markets Committee, UBS Political Action Committee, and SIFMA Equity Markets & Trading Committee.  Prior to joining UBS in 2011, Vlad was Global Co-Head of Corporate Strategy at Liquidnet, responsible for business development, market structure, and government relations.  Vlad was previously a board member of BIDS Trading LP and Chi-X Global LLC, and currently serves on the board of Stay Pawsitive, Inc. an animal welfare charity.

 


Timothy Mahoney

As Chief Executive Officer, Tim Mahoney is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of BIDS Trading, L.P., the Alternative Trading System (ATS) designed to increase competition and liquidity in the U.S. equity block trading market.

Prior to joining BIDS Trading, Tim Mahoney served as Head of Equity Trading for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers for seven years.  Mahoney was responsible for a 14-person, 24-hour trading desk that traded over $100 billion in equities.  Previously, Mahoney worked in the firm’s Unit Investment Trust Department for 16 years, holding a number of positions, which included Head of Equity Trading and Chief Investment Officer.  During his tenure at Merrill Lynch, Mahoney helped create the popular “Dogs of the Dow” series of investments.  Mahoney began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1979 as a summer intern on the floor of the American Stock Exchange.

Mahoney was a member of the New York Stock Exchange’s Institutional Advisory Committee and Market Performance Committee.  He also served on advisory committees for Nasdaq, The Boston Stock Exchange and the Investment Company Institute.  Mahoney graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a CFA.

 

Joanna Fields

Aplomb Strategies

Joanna Fields is the founder of Aplomb Strategies, a regulatory development and consulting firm that identifies global market structure, cybersecurity and enterprise risk management trends to develop future proof solutions for clients.

Ms. Fields has almost 20 years of global regulatory and market structure experience spanning stocks, options, OTC derivatives, total return swaps, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, forwards and futures products.

Prior to founding Aplomb Strategies, Joanna was the Head of Equities Market Structure for the Americas and Global Derivative Market Structure for Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. (DBSI).  In this role, Joanna managed the equity divisions strategic investment portfolio, discussed holistic trends in regulation and market structure directly with clients, and assisted with the product development of the firm’s global dark pools, trading algorithms, and FPGA tools. 

Joanna was the Compliance Registered Options Principal and Derivatives Compliance Advisor for both DBSI and Credit Suisse First Boston. She also worked in Market Regulation for both the International Securities Exchange (ISE) and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).  Joanna began her career in 10b-5 securities and anti-trust economic litigation consulting for Lexecon, Inc.

Currently Ms. Fields’ industry affiliations include: Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), Securities Traders Association (STA) where she was recently appointed the head of the Consolidated Audit Trail Committee for listed derivatives, and STA Women in Finance (WIF).  She is on the Board of Women in Listed Derivatives, Security Traders Association of New York, and LaunchTalk’s Innovative Markets Power Circle for Fintech companies. Joanna serves as an advisor or in an advisory board member capacity to a number of regulatory technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven start up organizations.

Ms. Fields holds a B.A. in art history and chemistry from Barnard College, Columbia University, and an M.S. in business and technology from New York University.
