PLEASE CONSIDER SUPPORTING STANY AND JOINING OUR GROWING LIST OF PARTNERS

STANY's value as a resource for education and networking attracted a record number of partners in 2025.  Likewise, this past year saw more STANY events, increased membership, and higher engagement than ever before, for which we thank our 2025 partners, members and friends!

We fully expect that 2026 will continue to see our value, as an Association and organization dedicated to the community, increase. The Wall Street community needs a grassroots unbiased organization to educate, bring together, and support the community. As a non-profit membership organization for trading and financial services professionals, STANY has been able to bring together a community that includes a broad cross section of market participants in the equites, derivatives, fixed income and digital asset trading space.

In 2026 the industry will need to address a number of important and relevant issues including the rise of AI and digital asset trading as well as changes in regulatory regime. It is our focus on relevant market issues, as well as on initiatives for the next generation of emerging leaders, women in finance, and philanthropy that help STANY insure a bright future for our industry and community. We hope that we can earn your support in 2026.

Our sponsorship packages support not just one event but all we do. They come with yearlong benefits including invitations to participate on our committees, in our conference, webinars, and newsletter. For 2026 in addition to our Annual Conference ( attended last year by 750 professionals and scheduled for April 13, 2026) we are planning two golf outings, four emerging leaders’ events, three or four women in finance events, social events, virtual programming and more.

Thank you to all who have already committed to support STANY in 2026! If you are not yet a sponsor, we encourage you to consider joining STANY’s growing list of industry partners and helping us represent and bring together this tremendous community. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in learning more.

STANY Annual Conference

STANY Annual Conference: A First Look at What’s Ahead

Planning is well underway for the upcoming STANY Annual Conference- April 13th at the NYSE, and while the agenda is still taking shape, the early framework points to a dynamic and forward-looking program focused on how markets are evolving in real time.

This year’s conference is being designed around a central theme of market transformation—how innovation, access, and regulation are reshaping trading, liquidity, and market structure across asset classes. As always, STANY’s goal is to deliver timely, practical insights that matter to market participants navigating an increasingly complex landscape.

Among the preliminary themes and panel topics under consideration:

  • Market Structure & Performance – including how firms are measuring venue-level performance and assessing execution quality from multiple perspectives.
  • Technology in Practice – with a clear-eyed look at artificial intelligence, tokenization, and where real use cases are emerging beyond the buzz.
  • Products Reshaping the Desk – exploring the continued evolution of ETFs, options markets, indices, and event-driven contracts.
  • Access to Liquidity – examining how liquidity is being transformed across public and private markets, including new paths from private to public capital.
  • Digital Assets & Settlement – featuring discussions around stablecoins, digital benchmarks, and the future of settlement infrastructure.
  • Market Participation – addressing the ongoing impact of retail trading and the operational realities of extended and 24-hour trading.
  • Leadership & Inclusion – continuing STANY’s commitment to meaningful dialogue through Women in Finance conversations.
  • And more!

As the program develops, STANY will be welcoming industry leaders, regulators, exchanges, and innovators to share perspectives and challenge assumptions—ensuring a balanced and substantive agenda.

More details on speakers, sponsors, and the final agenda will be shared in the coming weeks. We look forward to another engaging conference that reflects the depth, expertise, and collaborative spirit of the STANY community.

Community Building

Help is Needed to Launch a New Equity Internship Pilot with Futures and Options

STANY is exploring an experimental pilot program with Futures and Options (a 501c 3 that connects employers with engaged high school juniors and seniors to provide students with paid, meaningful, career-building work experience while enabling them to make valuable contributions to companies) to bring a proven high-school internship model—successfully used in the municipal space—into the equity and securities trading industry. As STANY Emerging Leaders have been working with Futures and Options for several years to present STANY's EL Scholarship, working with them on this program aligns well with our mission.

This initiative is entirely dependent on firm participation. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to invest in NYC’s next generation of new talent and share your skills and expertise with a motivated young adult on the cusp of career discovery.

How the Pilot Would Work

If the minimum threshold is met, the program would place 5–10 graduating high school seniors into paid, six-week summer internships at participating firms. Interns would work full-time, earning at least $17/hour, while receiving structured career-readiness training, coaching, and ongoing support from Futures and Options. All students are individually vetted, and firms have the opportunity to interview candidates before placement .

STANY would support the program by helping identify mentors from its membership and hosting a summer networking event for interns, supervisors, and mentors.

Why This Matters

This pilot offers firms a low-risk, high-impact way to:

  • Invest early in diverse, motivated future talent
  • Provide meaningful exposure to careers in finance and trading
  • Support workforce development in NYC communities

But it only works if firms step up.

Interested in Participating or at Least Learning More?

If your firm is open to hosting a paid intern and helping determine whether this program becomes a STANY/industry initiative, we encourage you to learn more.

Please contact Jean Bucaria at [email protected] to express interest or ask questions.
