Welcome to STANY

The Security Traders Association of New York (STANY), a membership association for individuals employed as securities traders or in jobs that support the trading of securities, has represented professionals in the financial services community in New York, New Jersey and Southern Connecticut  since 1937. STANY is a member of The Security Traders Association (STA). 

STA, and its member affiliates, are the leading trade organizations for individual professionals in the securities industry. Collectively, we work to improve the ethics, business standards and working environment for our members. STANY’s members are professionals who are engaged in the buying, selling and trading of equities, options, bonds and derivative securities.

STANY provides its members a voice on matters affecting the markets and trading community, with Congress, with the SEC, with regulators, with exchanges, and with other trade and professional organizations.

STANY hosts conferences that promote professional development, serves as a platform for influential leaders in the industry, and provides forums for networking and career development. STANY members receive registration fee discounts for conferences, events and continuing education courses.
