Technology based applications present several challenges that market participants need to consider as they explore and adopt new trading tools. We heard from FINRA on their study and White Paper on these issues as well as from both the buy-side and sell-side on their utilization of technology. In addition, our panelists, Ari Burstein, President, Capital Market Strategies, Nate Clark, Head of Client Technology, Virtu Financial, Nat Evarts, Managing Director, Head of Trading Americas, State Street Global Advisors, Roman Ginis, Founder & CEO, Imperative Execution / IntelligentCross and Haimera Workie, Head of Financial Innovation and Senior Director, FINRA discussed how the latest technology is helping traders with their best execution responsibilities.

It's a time of reflection for many of us. We look back on all that STANY has offered its members this past year, under unusual circumstances, and we are frankly impressed with the growth and breadth of the programs, positions taken on issues of importance to the industry and member benefits. It demonstrates STANY’s deep commitment to the industry and our purpose.
STANY also thinks of your wallet! Dues remain the same, but members now have access to more FREE programs.
Amid the challenges we've recently faced, STANY pivoted to offer online programs on critical topics and connect with each other while WFH and remaining distant. The friendly faces on Zoom sessions remind us that we are not alone.
We were pleased to hear from a new member who recently joined STANY on the power of our online programs and the community he found there. Likewise, we have received support from a new sponsor based on our comment letters and an interest in supporting our advocacy.
December 31st marks the end of this member year. As we look ahead to 2021, we feel a sense of hope and renewal. We look forward to continuing to support the industry and our members, and sincerely hope you will continue on our journey with us.
